ENAMELED WALL CLOCK SIGNED “ŞAHİN.”
17th century, diameter: 22 cm, height: 25 cm. The clockface has only one hand used as the hour-hand. The surface of the hanging plate bronze clock is intensely ornamented with rubies and turquoises, starting from the outer circle. The surface of the central ring with the Arabic numerals is completely covered with turquoises.
The back of the hanging wall clock is decorated with chiseled flowers, leaf and branch patterns; the Armenian “Amel-i Şahin” signature is concealed among these
