Jewels, watches, candlesticks, ceremonial swords, Quran cases… The old masters added taste and style to life by applying the subtleties of the art of jewellery making to many products, trained apprentices and passed on the tradition from generation to generation. Armenian masters also made great efforts in this branch of Ottoman art history and assumed important responsibilities in many places, especially in the palace. Atlas talked to Arsen Yarman, author of the book Jewelry and Armenian Goldsmiths Under The Ottomans, and Armenian masters who carried the tradition to the present day.
